SHIP'S AGENTS:	Navarro’s in the face of the changing Caribbean shipping industry in the 1980’s, turned a page in its history and sold its 4 inter-island bulk vessels to focus its attention on its agencies and the Container liner Industry, the future of the shipping industry in the Caribbean. At that time Navarros were agents for KENT LINE INTERNATIONAL operating a liner service from Canada to Trinidad and from Trinidad to Venezuela and various Caribbean destinations, and then back to Canada. We were able to take Kent from 24 containers every 3 weeks in 1989 to over 1200 containers every month on weekly basis by 2001. At the same time Navarros was growing with Kent to meet the needs of modern container service and its very demanding clients. Kent has since sold its Container Liner service but continues to maintain its position as a leading break bulk and Tanker service for which Navarro’s ably manages their Trinidad business. MEDITERRANEAN SHIPPING COMPANY of Geneva have since 2001 set up a joint Venture company with Navarro’s shipping , Mediterranean Shippng company of Trinidad and Tobago Ltd. (MSCTT) was born to represent MSC’s 400 world wide offices in not only Trinidad but also Guyana, Surinam and Barbados. This of course allows the Navarro’s group the ability to move any cargo anywhere on the globe to and from Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean.
